Admission Process
The application for admission to our full-time program must be made online. Visit Apply Now to complete your online application. On successful completion of the online application, applicants will be prompted to submit their supporting documents. Please ensure that all documents requested are uploaded, for the review of the Office of Admissions.
The Office of Admissions evaluates the applicant’s academic records and standings to ensure that the applicant qualifies for the program of choice. Academic profile carries a 25% weightage on admission decision and is an important pre-requisite to joining our programs.
The applicant’s undergraduate stream carries a 12.5% weightage in the overall admission evaluation process.
Each student is required to submit a one-page Statement of Purpose (SOP), and it carries a 12.5% weightage in the admission decisions. The SOP
should briefly cover the following points:
- Introduction: Who you are – include your background, interests, hobbies, and key achievements.
- Career Motivation: Why you wish to pursue a PGDM program.
- Institutional Fit: Why you have chosen to apply to MYRA School of Business (MSB).
- Academic Interest: The subjects or areas of specialization that particularly interest you.
The Office of Admissions also evaluates the applicant’s entrance test score in any of the accepted qualifying exams (CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA). If an applicant does not have an entrance score or does not meet the qualifying scores in an entrance exam, they are invited to take the MYRA Entrance Test (MET). The MET is an online test that can be taken from any location at any time and is a 60-minute test with 50 questions, scored out of 50. The test consists of 20 questions from quants, 20 questions from verbal, and 10 questions on logical reasoning, with no negative marking. Each correct question awards a student 1 point. The entrance test score is a mandatory requirement to apply for our full-time programs and carries a 25% weightage in the admission decisions.
Applicants who qualify with academic profile, entrance test, and Statement of Purpose essay are invited for an admission interview either online or on-campus. The admission interview is the most important deciding process for admission to our programs and carries 25% weightage in the admission decisions. Admission interviews assess the candidate’s fitment to the program based on background, aspirations, and program outcome objectives. Based on the candidate profile, 1 or 2 rounds of admission interview may be offered.
Applicants who clear all stages of the admission process and qualify for admissions (as deemed fit for the program by the Office of Admissions) will receive a provisional Admissions Offer. Candidates are expected to accept their offer within 72 hours of receiving the offer letter to ensure admission to the program of choice. Places in our programs are competitive in nature, and our acceptance rate is low by design. Any candidate who is offered admission is expected to confirm admission at the earliest to avoid disappointment. If an applicant is put on the waitlist, the candidate must wait until the completion of admissions in the given admission cycle to hear back from the Office of Admissions.
