The Convocation ceremony of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) of the class of 2025 attended by its trustees, governing board members, faculty and the non-faculty of MYRA was held on 26th of April, 2025, at the MYRA School of Business (MSB), Mysuru.

Students from the class of PGDM 2025, along with their family members attended the ceremony. The cohort which is a diverse group from many states of the country, were interviewed by and have found placements in many major corporations including HDFC Bank, Greenlam Industries, Anandrathi, Xpheno, and more.

Mr. Puneet Pushkarna, General Partner, Solmark; Co-founder, TechSpan and former President, Headstrong (Capital Markets) presided as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker.

Mr. Puneet Pushkarna, in his keynote address congratulated the students for their achievement and said its more than just a career milestone, start of the most meaningful question student will ever answer “Who will I choose to become?” He challenged the students to think beyond the mastered tools: not just about what they will do, but how they will do it. Not just about being effective professionals — but about becoming better human beings. He mentioned that the world needs people who are not only successful, but significant — those who don’t just ask “What’s in it for me?” but “How can I contribute? How can I serve?”

He emphasized the students about the need to adapt, be resilient, be curious, to collaborate in the uncertain, fast, complex and constantly shifting world. He said purpose will guide their direction with the skills; purpose is built with intention, with awareness, with compassion; it is not about sacrifice but is about aligning the ambition with the impact they wish to create.

He urged them to embrace a powerful idea; doing well by doing good.

He said the most sustainable success comes when one integrates success and values. When their business uplifts others, when their leadership inspires trust, and when their life becomes a force for positive change — that is when success becomes significance. He urged the students to create organizations that people trust, that communities support, and that the next generation will be proud to inherit; as they climb the ladder of success, to remember to look back — and give back to community through mentorship, investment, volunteering, or simply caring, by giving time, talent, heart which can echo far beyond quarterly result.

His final words were “may your journey be guided by the belief that doing good for others is not a detour from success — it is the most direct path to it.”

Dr. Ramasastry Ambarish, Chairman of Board of Governors and Dean during his address mentioned several important initiatives implemented over the past couple of years at MSB like

  • inauguration of SOC offered as a service to MSMEs as part of the COE Cyberverse foundation; and

Dr. Ambarish mentioned that the MSB students are provided with the right environment and opportunity to develop the skills needed to adapt to change, ability to unlearn and learn new skills, and the ability to thrive amidst change, the so-called quality of “anti-fragility” to become change leaders. He also mentioned that at MSB high emphasis is given to ethics and integrity, both personal and professional for students to imbibe and internalized them.

The final words while congratulating the graduating students as they step into the real world were to remember the three qualities: Be self-restrained, indulge in charity, and be compassionate.

Mr. Kantharaj Urs, Managing Trustee during his welcome address mentioned that it was a proud moment for him as this was the 11th convocation ceremony, a powerful reminder of how far students have come and the promise of what lies ahead. He mentioned empathy, adaptability and the courage to lead with purpose are the values that will guide the students when the road ahead seems uncertain.
