Pankaj Gupta

FPM: Indian Institute of Management, Indore

Dr. Pankaj Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance & Accounting. Dr. Gupta is the Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Indore and his thesis entitled “Tunneling and Propping: Indian Evidence” explored different ways of expropriation of minority shareholders (public investors) and emphasizes the importance of corporate governance mechanism in restricting “tunneling” and “propping” behavior of group firms.

At MYRA he will continue to focus his research work in the areas of corporate finance and governance, corporate risk management, and pricing models of derivatives & insurance. He has several papers and cases underway for publications in the journals of repute. He has written the case “The Entrepreneurs Dilemma: Nursery Live Dot Com” on an entrepreneurial venture and registered with IIM Indore Case Centre.

Dr. Gupta’s teaching interests are in the following areas:

Dr. Gupta the member of Institute of Actuaries of India and Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, U.K. Apart from academic activities he likes spending time in jogging, playing football/cricket and reading newspapers.

Dr. Gupta holds an MBA degree from G.L.A. University and a B.Sc in Mathematics.
